Shahnawaz Hussain’s Angioplasty and Recovery: Updates on the BJP Leader’s Health
On September 26th, Shahnawaz Hussain, a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai and underwent angioplasty. His condition is currently stable.
Following complaints of high blood pressure and restlessness, he was taken to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday. Angioplasty is a medical procedure used to open blocked or narrowed blood vessels in the heart. It’s a common treatment for coronary artery disease, which is the most prevalent form of heart disease.
Shahnawaz Hussain was admitted to Lilavati Hospital, where a doctor informed India Today, “We found a blockage in one of his arteries, and later, angioplasty was performed.” Currently, the politician is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) receiving specialized medical care.
Shahnawaz Hussain’s condition has now stabilized, and he will soon be transferred to a private ward.
When he was taken to the apartment of Ashish Shelar, the Mumbai BJP President and MLA from Bandra, Shahnawaz Hussain appeared anxious. Shelar was the person who arranged for him to be admitted to the hospital.
Dr. Parakar told PTI-Bhasha, “Around 4:30 PM, Hussain complained of high blood pressure. Mumbai BJP President Ashish Shelar called me to have Hussain admitted to Lilavati Hospital, where he had a heart attack. Cardiologist Dr. Suresh Vijan performed angioplasty on him.” He mentioned that there was no damage to his heart muscles.
Shahnawaz Hussain is a prominent figure in the BJP in Bihar, having previously served as the Minister of Industries in the state during the tenure of the NDA government.
During the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government, he held various positions including Minister of State for Food Processing Industries, Minister of State for Human Resource Development, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Minister of Coal, Minister of Civil Aviation, and Minister of Textiles.
