Record-Breaking Performance: Nepal’s Historic Triumph in Asian Games Men’s Cricket Match
In the Asian Games men’s cricket match, Nepal made history in their very first encounter. Nepal’s team scored a whopping 314 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs against Mongolia. This is the highest score in the history of international T20 cricket. Nepal became the first team to score over 300 runs.
Meanwhile, Nepal’s batsman Kushal Malla also achieved a remarkable feat by scoring the fastest century in T20 history. He reached to century in only 34 deliveries. Additionally, Dipendra Singh also made a significant contribution. He hit the fastest fifty in T20 cricket, taking only 9 balls. Dipendra smashed six sixes in his first 6 deliveries. He scored an unbeaten 52 runs in just 10 balls, including 8 sixes.
With this, Dipendra Singh broke the record for the fastest fifty in T20 cricket previously held by India’s former all-rounder Yuvraj Singh. Yuvraj had scored a fifty in 12 balls against England in the 2007 T20 World Cup. In the same match, Yuvraj had hit 6 sixes in an over off Stuart Broad.

In other words, Nepal scored 212 runs through boundaries. Kushal Malla played a brilliant inning of 137 runs off 50 balls, including 12 sixes and 8 fours. His strike rate during this innings was 237. Meanwhile, Dipendra Singh also scored runs at a striking rate of 520.
